Doodle Bug is 10 now and she's in the fourth grade. She's an avid reader, which makes my heart so happy!
But here's the exciting part... She came home yesterday and told me that she was going to write a book too! She said she had started it Monday at school during her free time. Last night she spent some time in her bedroom alone working on it. When she can back out she had a total of five chapters, hand-written, and the excitement she had was absolutely intoxicating!! She told me about how she had shown the first two chapters to her teacher at school and, being so impressed with her, the teacher had allowed her to read some of it out loud to the class. . And her class mates were really proud of her too, clapping and congratulating her after she finished. Doodle Bug was beaming as she shared this with me last night!
I can't wait to watch as her talent grows and her love of the written word blossoms even more! It's so precious to see moments like this with your children!
Have you had any moments like this recently? I would love to hear about them! We all LOVE sharing about our children, don't we? Seeing moments of success in the lives of those around us is so inspirational to me!
I pray you all have a wonderfully blessed day!
