Our Story
We are that crazy couple that makes people want to
say "Get a room!"
When we started dating as teenagers, I never dreamed life would turn out the way that it has. I never could have dreamed of all that God has done in our lives. We have been through a lot in our almost eleven years of marriage. We have four beautiful children: Doodle Bug - 10, Monkey - 8, K-Man - 7, and Boogie - 2 going on 16... <3 We believe that a big part of making our relationship work is our ability to joke and play around with each other. Of course there are times when we have to be serious, but the little every day life things are so much more enjoyable when you share them with your best friend, that one person that gets your unique sense of humor!
Our journey hasn't always been easy, and it certainly hasn't always been joyful, but even during the darkest days God has always been there for our family. Through many trials and tribulations, He was ever present, waiting for us to turn to Him for comfort.
When my mom passed six years ago, we went through the darkest time ever. About a year and a half later I had a true salvation experience and my life has never been the same. I still have struggles and I still make lots of mistakes. With God's grace and mercy my hope is renewed everyday. I am faithfully serving Him in every area of my life and find myself constantly amazed at the sheer immensity of His love for little ole me.
God moved our family to south Alabama a little over four years ago. Though it was hard to leave all of our family and friends, we're so thankful for our home here. When God calls you to make a leap for Him, try to remember that no matter how scary it is, He's there with you.
I'm new to this blogging thing but I really wanted to share my life. I make a mess of things on a regular basis, but if my mess brings one person closer to Him, then it's all worth it. Be patient with me while I try to figure out this new aspect of my life, and I promise not to give up too soon.
Thank you for your support and God Bless!
