Even when there are crackers dumped all over my kitchen floor, I thank God. When my bathroom floor is flooded with bath water, I thank God. When my toddler refuses to let me sleep in my own bed, I thank God that we have other ones I can crawl into. Not always in that moment, because let's be real.. some moments make me want to pull my hair out, but I still thank God. We need to be conscious of how lucky we are! We were given a dream and then God made it come true! That doesn't mean it isn't hard. It doesn't mean we didn't work for it. It doesn't mean we don't second guess it sometimes. But at the end of the day, in the quiet of the night, we need to thank God because we are living our dream!
Some of us aren't quite there yet. Maybe you're still working towards your dream. Maybe it seems like you're almost at the finish line. Like you've almost made it. Or maybe it feels like it's always just out of your reach. Like no matter what you do, it keeps slipping through your finger tips. Maybe you got your dream, but it isn't what you had hoped for. Maybe it leaves you feeling empty.
My hope for you today is this: Trust in God. Seek Him out and make sure your dream is still what He's calling you to. Be open to the possibility that He's destined you for a different dream. A better one. Have faith that He'll reveal it to you. Then, once you have assurance in the direction He's leading you, just keep working. Persevere. Believe. Hold on to His promise that though it may not be an easy journey, He will be with you all the way. Our value doesn't come from the job title we carry or the things we've accomplished. Our true value comes only from who we are in Christ. Stop allowing self doubt cloud your view. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and Go for Broke!
I hope that you find encouragement here. Words that will lift your spirit and remind you of what really matters. That's all I want from this blog. We are a community growing together in Christ. I don't have it all figured out, and I don't pretend that I do. I just want to share what God lays on my heart with each of you. Let's just love on one another. Encourage one another. There are enough things in this world waiting to tear us down... my prayer is that we will purpose to hold each other up, keep each other accountable, and grow with one another in Christ.
Be blessed today and bless someone else!
